The Institute for Local Government’s Sustainable Communities Learning Network is hosting a series of free webinars on the Institute’s sustainability recognition program, the Beacon Award: Local Leadership Toward Solving Climate Change.

The webinar series provides information regarding program basics including the application and acceptance process, tracking and demonstrating progress as well as steps to achieving an award level. The webinars will also cover program participation benefits and opportunities for recognition.

The Beacon Award program is funded by California utility ratepayers and administered by Southern California Gas Company, San Diego Gas & Electric Company, Pacific Gas and Electric Company and Southern California Edison, under the auspices of the California Public Utilities Commission.
