The Institute for Local Government has just completed a project that provides a lay person’s explanation of how to analyze greenhouse gas impacts as part of CEQA. It is titled: “Evaluating Greenhouse Emissions as Part of California's Environmental Review Process: A Local Official's Guide.”

This guide provides information about California law related to evaluating greenhouse gas emissions as part of California’s environmental review process. It is written for the busy local official and others seeking a plain language explanation of the requirements. It includes end notes for those who want more detailed information or references to the law.
