About the Local Government Commission
Learn more about the Local Government Commission (LGC), an integral partner in the Statewide Energy Efficiency Collaborative.
The Local Government Commission (LGC) is a nonprofit, nonpartisan, membership organization that provides inspiration, technical assistance, and networking to local elected officials and other dedicated community leaders who are working to create healthy, walkable, and resource-efficient communities.
Through SEEC, LGC organizes the annual Statewide Energy Efficiency Best Practices Forum to share greenhouse gas reduction and energy efficiency best practices; statewide webinars and webcasts on energy efficiency strategies for local governments; IOU local government partner meetings to provide local partners a chance to network with each other and provide peer support; and energy leadership development to share innovative and inspiring ideas with local officials and city/county manager to build support for energy-efficient communities.
